Taylor Barnes is an alumni of Enka High School and proudly serves as the percussion director for the Enka Band. He resides in Asheville, NC where he also works for the City of Asheville.
Additionally, Taylor works as a percussion technician with his nationally recognized collegiate alma-mater, The “Pride of the Mountains“ marching band at WCU. He brings experience from world class WGI and DCI ensembles such as Palmetto Percussion and Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps during the 2012 seasons. Lauryn Smith is from Charlotte, NC where she spun 8 guard seasons with Ardrey Kell High School. From the ages of 3-18 she took dance classes of varying styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, and lyrical. Lauryn also performed in the Nutcracker for 8 years at Theatre Charlotte in varying roles and ensembles. She then went to Western Carolina University where she spun 4 fall seasons with Pride of the Mountains Marching Band, 3 of those as a captain. Lauryn also spun with Olympic Winterguard for 1 season and Aria Winterguard for 2 winter seasons and competed in Open Class finals at the 2015 WGI World Championships. She resides in Asheville, NC where she works for Mission Hospital while taking classes to become a child life specialist.
